Rampaging woman smashed MetroCard machines with a hammer in Brooklyn

SOUTH MIDWOOD — POLICE ARE SEARCHING for a woman who removed a hammer from her backpack and smashed up the MetroCard machines at the Flatbush Avenue 2 and 5 subway train lines on Wednesday, July 3 at roughly 1 p.m. The woman caused an “unspecified amount” of damage to the equipment and then fled on foot, police said.
