Maimonides first Summer Health Fair gathers medical experts, community leaders

BOROUGH PARK — A NEW TRADITION FOR MAIMONIDES MEDICAL CENTER launches Thursday, July 18, when the hospital at 4802 Tenth Ave. hosts its first Summer Health Fair with participation from several Maimonides clinical departments and community partners. Maimonides’ Community Relations Department, in conjunction with its AAPI Employee Resource Group, presents the fair, running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a focus on educating the public, patients and employees about the community and health resources available to them, such as the hospital’s Cancer Screening Program, Trauma Injury Prevention Program and Digital Health.

Several community organizations and elected officials will be present as resources, including the Chinese American Planning Council, Arab American Association of New York, the Brooklyn Public Library, NYC Environmental Health, Congressmember Dan Goldman, State Sen. Iwen Chu and City Councilmembers Alexa Avilés and Susan Zhuang.
