CITY HALL — TWO OF MAYOR ADAMS’ top advisors met in April 2022 with a registered agent for China’s communist government, but the agent — a Chinese media executive — didn’t disclose the meeting to U.S. authorities as required, the Daily News reported. Robin Mui, CEO of Sing Tao, met with Adams’ advisors, Ingrid Lewis-Martin and Winnie Greco, who is under federal investigation. “I don’t disclose any meetings. I am a newspaper man, and I meet a lot of people,” Mui told the News. Mui, an Adams campaign donor, said he couldn’t recall specific issues he discussed with Adams’ people. Adams is not accused of wrongdoing.

Mui has been registered as a Chinese government agent since 2021, federal records show. The Foreign Agents Registration Act requires foreign agents to disclose any formal meetings held with U.S. public officials under penalty of a fine or prison.
