BATH BEACH & CONEY ISLAND — A SECTION OF THE SHORE PARKWAY NEAR CALVERT VAUX PARK will be closed during the week of July 4 so that the NYC Department of Transportation can remove temporary constructing sheeting from their work zone of the 27th Avenue Bridge over the Belt Parkway. This work will necessitate a full closure of the western half of Shore Parkway between 26th Avenue and Bay 52nd St., where Bath Beach meets Coney Island.  The closure will be in effect nights, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. except for the July 4 holiday.

The bridge, sidewalk and pedestrian crosswalk will remain open at all times during construction, and flaggers will be in place to redirect traffic and cyclists in both directions. Traffic flow will be normalized by 6 a.m. each morning.
