On June 18, 2024, New York Law School presented the prestigious Civic Fame Award to the New York City Law Department, recognizing its historic and continued exemplary service, particularly during times of crisis.

The event also marked the celebration of the arrival of the law school’s summer interns, who are set to contribute to the Law Department’s tradition of excellence. These interns represent the next generation of legal professionals dedicated to upholding the high standards of public service demonstrated by the department.

The New York City Law Department has been a pillar of legal support and advocacy for the city, playing a crucial role in navigating complex legal landscapes and ensuring justice. The new cohort of summer interns is expected to continue this legacy, bringing fresh perspectives and energy to the department.
