PARK SLOPE — THOUSANDS OF REVELERS turned out for the annual Brooklyn Pride festivities on Fifth Avenue all Saturday long, reports Gay City News, with events including a 5k fun run/walk, the 28th annual Multicultural Festival, the Main Stage queer music showcase, and the twilight pride parade. Brooklynites of all stripes marched in and cheered on the parade, with delegations from government agencies, healthcare providers, libraries, companies, schools, churches and youth groups, as well as musical groups, performance troupes and a rainbow of the city’s LGBTQ+ organizations; the event was reportedly the largest Pride in Brooklyn since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Elected officials also joined in, including Attorney General Letitia James, Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, comptroller Brad Lander, Brooklyn B.P. Antonio Reynoso, Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon and City Council LGBTQIA+ caucus members Chi Ossé and Crystal Hudson.
