DYKER HEIGHTS — CANCER SURVIVALS’ RESILIENCE AND TESTIMONIALS will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 11, at the Dyker Beach Golf Course. Maimonides Health will host its 18th annual Cancer Survivors Day event, with the hospital’s current patients invited to a day filled with free food and entertainment for themselves and their families. This event celebrates the strength and resilience of cancer survivors who have been treated at Maimonides Cancer Center, in addition to the patients’ families, loved ones, and caretakers who have supported them throughout their journey, along with the Cancer Staff at MMC. More than 200 survivors and their families are expected to attend, and several will share personal testimonies, including Ashley, who has survived pediatric cancer, Jocelyn, a breast cancer survivor, Anne, a lung cancer survivor, and Ann Margaret, a colon cancer survivor. The Maimonides Cancer Center is a nationally accredited, award-winning comprehensive cancer center in Borough Park, and home to New York’s top cancer specialists, with a fully accredited Breast Center, Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, and Prostate Center offering the latest minimally invasive approaches. MCC patients receive personalized treatment plans from experts who use the most innovative therapies and have access to clinical trials that advance cancer research and outcomes.

Maimonides’ chair of surgery, Dr. Patrick Borgen, will lead the Mazel Tov Cocktail Band Live as part of the live music and entertainment.
