WILLIAMSBURG — NYC’S FIRST DOG CAFE will close its Williamsburg location — just months after locals raised $250K to keep it open, the New York Post reports. In February, supporters donated $250,000 to save Boris & Horton from closing its cafes on Avenue A in the East Village and on Driggs Avenue in Williamsburg. Last week, however, co-owners Coppy Holzman and Logan Mikhly wrote on Instagram that they were permanently closing the Driggs Avenue site.

Brooklyn supporters had a bone to pick with the owners — and one wag asked on Instagram if they would be “returning the $250,000 donated 2 months ago to keep this location open?” The owners told the Post all the money would go to improve their Manhattan cafe.
