CARROLL GARDENS — A NEW BONE AND JOINT CENTER is officially opening at 330 Court Street Carroll Gardens, with Maimonides Medical Center and local officials set to lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, May 29, at 5 p.m. Expected speakers include Kenneth Gibbs, President and CEO of Maimonides Health; Jack Choueka, MD, Chair, Orthopedic Surgery, Maimonides Bone and Joint Center and City Councilmember Shahana Hanif (D-39). Maimonides is establishing the only center in the neighborhood that is fully devoted to orthopedic care, and which will offer comprehensive care for both basic and complex conditions, and in all orthopedic subspecialties including pediatrics, spine, hand, shoulder, joint reconstruction, trauma, sports, nonoperative primary orthopedic care, and surgical podiatry, as well as speech-language pathology voice specialty services. The Bone & Joint Center will also provide on-site imaging, electrodiagnostics, and custom and off-the-shelf orthotics. The new center is designed to make orthopedic care more accessible to both new and existing Maimonides patients in Carroll Gardens and its surrounding neighborhoods. Maimonides is the sole healthcare institution in New York state to receive Healthgrades’ Orthopedic Surgery Award for three consecutive years.

The facility at 330 Court St. is near Sackett Street and was an urgent care center at one point, according to a  June 2022 Google Maps image of the building.
