DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — TWO OF FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP’S GUESTS at last Thursday’s Bronx rally, Sheff G and Sleepy Hollow, were already facing charges in a major felony gang case, reports the Associated Press; with two prominent Brooklyn attorneys handling the case on opposing sides. Kings County District Attorney Eric Gonzalez last year unveiled a gang case against Sheff G, a 25-year-old rapper also known as Michael Williams, who at the time was already serving a sentence for attempted weapons possession. The lawyer defending Sheff G, also known as 24-year-old Tegan Chambers, is respected defense attorney Arthur Aidala, who partners with a law firm, is a past senior assistant district attorney and a prosecutor in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, and who over the past 25 years has successfully argued cases before several sections of the federal and New York State courts.

DA Gonzalez, speaking at a 2023 news conference, had described what he believes are Sheff G’s and Sleepy Hollow’s modus operandi. However, Gonzalez’s office declined to comment for the Associated Press story published as the Memorial Day Weekend began on Friday, Arthur Aidala told the Associated Press that “intense litigation” was ongoing and “we’re cautiously optimistic that Mr. Williams will be exonerated.”
