BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — On March 31, St. Francis College sold its 180 Remsen St. campus in Brooklyn Heights to BK Acquisition Three L.L.C., an affiliate of Rockrose Development.

The 180 Remsen St. campus is comprised of five buildings on Remsen and Joralemon streets, between Court and Clinton streets. St. Francis College operated out of Remsen Street from 1960 through 2022, when it moved to a new, state-of-the-art, custom-built campus at 179 Livingston St. located in Downtown Brooklyn.

With this sale, St. Francis College continues to advance SFC Forward: Strategic Vision for 2023 and Beyond, which includes: transitioning the College to a new, state-of-the-art, custom-built campus; investing in new academic programs, infrastructure, and technology; and ensuring the College’s continued reputation of providing a first-class, high quality education; firmly planted in our Franciscan values of community, collaboration, and connection.

Tim Cecere, Acting President of St. Francis College, commented, “St. Francis College will always cherish the countless memories, traditions and rich legacy of the 180 Remsen St. campus. At the same time, we recognize our College community is better served in a more modern, custom-built facility located in the same amazing Brooklyn community we have been a part of for more than 160 years. This sale allows us to continue to focus on the future success and growth of the College Driven by Dreams. We are now in a better position to address our challenges and expand our academic programs while attracting a wider group of local and international students to St. Francis College.”

Cushman & Wakefield brokered the sale, with a team led by Dan O’Brien.
