DYKER HEIGHTS —The Bay Ridge Lawyers Association welcomed attorney Mark Longo for a continuing legal education seminar at its monthly meeting at Mama Rao’s in Dyker Heights on Nov. 29.

Longo, a graduate of Widener University School of Law, is a partner at Abrams Fensterman in Downtown Brooklyn with nearly 40 years of experience in the legal profession. His practice focuses on personal injury, insurance litigation, general civil litigation, and attorney discipline matters.

Longo’s lecture was entitled, “The Attorney Disciplinary Process Post Covid” as he talked for an hour about issues that have arisen over the last two to three years.

“We had a really great turnout for Mark’s CLE,” said BRLA President Dominic Famulari. “Mark was excellent as usual. We’ve had him speak in the past and he gives a great lecture that covers the important topics including escrow accounts, which plenty of people always have questions about. He discussed rules involving escrow and how to keep your records in order.

“Mark is a very distinguished speaker,” Famulari said. “He regularly represents clients involved with attorney disciplinary matters so his insight is always well received by the group.”

The Bay Ridge Lawyers Association is hosting Breakfast with Santa at Sirico’s Caterers on 13th Avenue on Saturday, Dec. 10 that is open to the entire local community, who are encouraged to bring their children. That will include events for kids including letters to Santa, games, arts and crafts, a photo booth, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in the afternoon.

The BRLA has decided to wait until January to host its holiday party to avoid the always-busy December month. It will host its party on Jan. 12 at Encore on Fourth Avenue in Bay Ridge.
