Cops foil bank robbery on 45th Street
Cops arrested a man who allegedly tried to rob Popular Bank on 45th Street.
Cops arrested a 26-year-old man who allegedly tried to rob Popular Bank on Fifth Avenue and 45th Street July 14.
Damian Crawford went into the bank at 3:23 p.m., told an employee he had an explosive in his bag and demanded $40,000, said cops, who found a portable water heater in the bag.
Crawford was charged with attempted robbery, harassment and making a terroristic threat.
