Senator Gounardes inducts local Vietnam veteran into New York Veterans Hall of Fame
Daniel Vavas honored for his deployment in Vietnam 1967-1969, and for a lifetime of his service to his southern Brooklyn community
Daniel Vavas, a Vietnam War veteran and lifelong southern Brooklynite, has been honored by the New York State Senate with his recent induction into the New York Veterans Hall of Fame.
Mr. Vavas joins 60 other New York veterans honored with an induction into the Hall of Fame this year. The New York State Senate has inducted, in total, nearly 500 veterans into its Hall of Fame since its establishment in 2005. The Hall salutes New York veterans for their service in the United State Armed Forces, and for their civilian accomplishments.
