VENEZUELA — White lion: A South African white lion rested in a quarantine cage after it was brought from the Czech Republic to the Caricuao Zoo of Caracas, on Thursday. Four South African white lions arrived a few weeks ago as part of an effort to increase the number of specimens and strengthen the country’s parks.

UNITED KINGDOM — Platinum Jubilee: A general view of the service of thanksgiving for the reign of Queen Elizabeth II at St Paul’s Cathedral in London, on Friday, on the second of four days of celebrations to mark the Platinum Jubilee. The events over a long holiday weekend in the U.K. are meant to celebrate the monarch’s 70 years of service.

MEXICO — Right to work: A masked sex worker joined a march to demand the right to work on International Day of the Sex Worker in Mexico City, on Thursday. The annual march is in memory of more than 100 sex workers who occupied the Church of Saint-Nizier in Lyon, France on June 2, 1975, to call attention to their situation.
