SWITZERLAND — Glacier Patrol race: Competitors, photographed using a long exposure, climbed in front of the iconic Matterhorn mountain after the start of the 22nd Glacier Patrol race in Ober Stafel, above Zermatt, on Wednesday. The Glacier Patrol, organized by the Swiss Army, is a trek by highly-experienced hiker-skiers over a distance of 36 miles on the Haute Route along the Swiss-Italian border from Zermatt to Verbier.
