CHINA — Plane crash: A relative of passengers onboard the China Eastern Flight 5735 cried as she was escorted near the crash site, on Thursday, in Shentian village. The search area was expanded on Thursday in a “blanket search” for the second black box from a China Eastern passenger plane that crashed in southern China with 132 people on board earlier this week, state media said.

UNITED KINGDOM — Wedding: Stella Moris spoke to the media and supporters after cutting a wedding cake after marrying her partner, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, in a small wedding service held inside the high-security Belmarsh Prison, in southeast London on Wednesday. Assange, who is in a legal battle over a decision to extradite him to the U.S. to face spying charges, has been held at Belmarsh Prison since 2019.

UKRAINE — Displaced children: Nadia held her 10-year-old granddaughter Zlata Moiseinko, suffering from a chronic heart condition, as she received treatment at a schoolhouse that was converted into a field hospital, in Mostysk, on Thursday.
