Body found in Gowanus Canal
A body was removed from the Gowanus Canal Sept. 2.
A man’s body was pulled from the Gowanus Canal Sept. 2
Cops said the man, in his 40s, was found in the water near Third Avenue and 25th Street. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and an investigation is ongoing.
