Good Morning, Brooklyn: Monday, July 26, 2021
STARGAZING AT THE CEMETERY: The Amateur Astronomers Association of New York will hold a free stargazing event next Friday, July 30, from 8 to 10 p.m. at The Evergreens Cemetery in Bushwick, offering attendees the rare opportunity to observe the night sky in an area relatively free of glare from city lights. Association members will bring high-powered telescopes and binoculars through which everyone is invited to look, and will provide instruction on how to find objects in the night sky, but attendees are welcome to bring their own binoculars or a telescope as well. Registration is encouraged for this event, being held at the meadow near the cemetery office.
