COLOMBIA — National Police: National Police attended a ceremony showing their new uniforms at Plaza de Bolivar in Bogota, on Monday. The uniforms changed from green to blue, and an arm patch featured a QR code that allows anyone who scans it to see the officer’s name, rank, and badge number.

GERMANY — Disaster: People took a break from cleaning up the debris of the flood disaster in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, on Monday. More than 180 people died when heavy rainfall turned tiny streams into raging torrents across parts of western Germany and Belgium, and officials put the death toll in Ahrweiler county alone at 110.

PALESTINE — Eid al-Adha: Palestinian Muslims attended the prayer of the first day of Eid al-Adha in Gaza City on Tuesday. During the Eid al-Adha, or Feast of Sacrifice, Muslims slaughter sheep or cattle to distribute portions of the meat to the poor.
