One man was killed and another was injured when a wall collapsed at a construction site on 42nd Street on Monday afternoon. The collapse, which took place between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 1:30 p.m., trapped the two workers under a pile of debris. The one who survived was taken to nearby NYU Langone Hospital with serious injuries, while the other was declared dead at the scene. FDNY spokespersons said work may have been going on, but no construction permits had been issued.
