BP Adams honors Brooklyn’s own Dr. Fauci at Borough Hall

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams honored Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s infectious disease chief and the son of a Bensonhurst pharmacist, as one of several “COVID-19 heroes” on Tuesday.
Speaking via videoconferencing, Dr. Fauci told a crowd gathered outside Borough Hall that he can withstand the vitriol that has been directed his way in Washington, D.C. because he is “Brooklyn strong.”
He also told the crowd that a vaccine for COVID-19 is close at hand.
“It is a privilege to recognize a widely admired public health official and a proud son
of Brooklyn, Dr. Anthony Fauci, as one of our COVID heroes,” said Adams.
