Chris Caputo to become president of Columbian Lawyers Association
Outgoing President Susanne Gennusa will be honored

The Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn will host its annual induction ceremony for its new president and officers virtually via Zoom on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m.
The annual meeting will honor outgoing president Susanne Gennusa, who presided over the association during the COVID-19 pandemic, held meetings virtually to ensure it remained active, and sent out monthly newsletters to keep members updated about legal community and courthouse news.
After a few words about Gennusa from some of the association’s past presidents, Christopher Caputo will be inducted as the new president. Caputo, who is from Staten Island, recently served as the president of the Richmond County Bar Association.
The other officers to be installed with Caputo include First Vice President Maria Aragona, who is currently leading in the race for Civil Court judge in Brooklyn as votes are being finalized; Second Vice President Salvatore Scibetta; Third Vice President Yolanda Guadagnoli; Treasurer Mark Longo; Corresponding Secretary John Dalli, and Recording Secretary Mario Romano.
George Siracuse will return as the group’s historian, and Grace Borrino and Gianni Tribuzio will be added as members of the board of directors.
