A message from the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce regarding COVID-19
Dear Brooklyn Chamber Board Members,
Brooklynites are a resilient people, and our businesses know how to manage through hard times. So, during this unprecedented challenge related to the COVID-19 virus, please know that your Chamber of Commerce is working proactively to support the business community. We are also taking the most prudent measures internally and externally to ensure the safety of our members and staff. To begin with, we receive a daily briefing from the NYC Department of Small Business Services on any new information related to the virus, and any new directives that are to be followed as a result of such information. As with most of you, we are fully adhering to all the standard recommendations regarding sick employees, hand washings and any travel restrictions.
Second, with respect to many of our members who have experienced a hardship due to the virus, please know that the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and our Business Solutions Center, remain available and ready to support you. On that note, the city of New York has said it will provide no-interest loans under certain conditions such as significant declines in revenue, to impacted companies. Please contact us if you need such support and you believe you would qualify.
