Industry City is celebrating the launch of Five Two A, a brand new event space that can be booked for everything from weddings and other private parties to art shows, corporate events and more.

The 10,000-square-foot venue boasts waterfront views of downtown Manhattan and sight-lines of the Statue of Liberty. The views are framed by floor-to-ceiling windows all the way up to the nearly 14-foot ceilings — all in a space that can accommodate up to 400 people, according to Industry City bigwigs.

Chief Marketing Officer Lauren Danziger said that the venue was born out of years worth of requests to host events at the Sunset Park space.

“Industry City is a special place for so many people and we’ve gotten many requests over the years to host celebrations, weddings, and more,” she said in a statement.

The new venue she added, is “built to be flexible enough to both be able to provide a platform to make forever memories and also to execute the perfect conference, market or corporate event.”

To sweeten the deal, Danziger said, the venue gets to leverage some of Industry City’s commercial tenants as potential vendors, like Soho Letterpress or Mr. Boddington for invitations, Susan Stripling for photography, One Bridal for wedding dresses and Social Studies for place settings. Planners can also use Industry City’s on-campus eateries like Sahadi’s and Hometown Bar-B-Q to cater their events.

The venue’s room can be divided in half for smaller events or staging, according to Industry City officials, and those looking for a larger experience can book a portion of the connecting outdoor courtyard.
