THE LEDE: Good morning! More than half of the properties owned by New York City’s 10 worst landlords are in Brooklyn, according to a new list published Monday by Public Advocate Jumaane Williams.

~ LEAKED PLANS FOR PATCH JOB ON BQE DRAW MIXED REACTIONS FROM LOCALS: Locals are fretting about the latest leaked plan for the BQE rehab project, which could be an emergency patch job starting as early as 2021.

~ MOST OF THE BUILDINGS OWNED BY CITY’S WORST LANDLORDS ARE IN BROOKLYN: Of the 85 properties owned by the 10 worst landlords on the public advocate’s list, 44 are in Brooklyn — accumulating a staggering 5,921 violations from the Department of Housing Preservation & Development, or more than four violations per unit owned.

~ ONE HOMELESS SHELTER PROVIDER IN BROOKLYN HAS RACKED UP HUNDREDS OF VIOLATIONS: A Brooklyn-based nonprofit has racked up nearly 300 open violations at five different homeless shelters across the borough — and it runs all five of the “cluster sites” with the most violations in Brooklyn, according to the most recent city-released statistics.

~ ROSE SAYS HE’LL VOTE TO IMPEACH TRUMP: U.S. Rep. Max Rose, a Democrat representing a district Donald Trump won handily in 2016, announced on Friday that he will vote to impeach the president when the matter comes before the House.

~ REMEMBERING THE PARK SLOPE PLANE CRASH OF 1960: Yesterday in 1960, a mid-air collision above the city sent the wreckage of a plane crashing through a Park Slope intersection.

~ BENSONHURST DELIS BUSTED FOR ALLEGEDLY SELLING CONTRABAND CIGARETTES: The state’s Department of Taxation and Finance seized more than 3,000 cartons of contraband cigarettes at two Bensonhurst stores on Dec. 10 following a routine inspection. The respective owners were arrested and charged with felonies.

~ CITY TO PAY $625K TO MOM WHOSE BABY WAS RIPPED AWAY BY POLICE: New York City will pay $625,000 to resolve a lawsuit filed by a mother whose toddler was yanked from her arms by police in a widely seen online video, the city’s Law Department said. (AP)
