The city saw five fatal shootings in a 24-hour span Tuesday — three of which took place in Brooklyn in the same two-hour window, according to police.

A 28-year-old man was shot during a dispute in Brownsville just past 10 p.m., cops said. Less than an hour later, a 27-year-old was shot in the abdomen and a 38-year-old was shot in the head in a double homicide in Coney Island.

Police responded to the Brownsville shooting around 10:20 p.m. at the corner of Union Street and Sutter Avenue. They discovered Arsenio Gravesande, who lived nearby, on the ground with a gunshot wound to his left hip, cops said. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he later died.

Less than an hour later, around 11:10 p.m., two men were shot on West 19th Street near Neptune Avenue. Police found two victims, one shot in the head, the other in the abdomen, cops said.

They were taken to Coney Island Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Their names have not yet been released.

Police have not made arrests in either case and the investigations are ongoing.

Shooting incidents are up more than 200 percent in the 60th precinct, which serves the neighborhoods of Coney Island, Brighton Beach, West Brighton Beach and Sea Gate. There have been at least five murders in the precinct already this year, compared to none during the same period in 2018, according to police statistics.

The Brownsville shooting comes just days after 31-year-old Rakeem Edwards was shot in the head and killed Friday on East New York Avenue near Herzl Street, a little more than a mile away from where Gravesande was shot. It also happened less than a month after 11 people were shot and one person was killed during a mass shooting at a block party in a playground near Hegeman Avenue and Sackman Street.

Overall, shootings and murders are still down borough-wide as of Aug. 18, according to police stats.

Earlier Tuesday in Queens, an 18-year-old was shot in the head, torso and leg and a 25-year-old was shot in the chest in two separate incidents in Jamaica. Both victims were taken to nearby hospitals where they were pronounced dead.
