Brooklynites can party with their local police on Tuesday at one of the annual National Night Out Against Crime gatherings being held in every precinct.

Of the 70 Night Out parties in New York City this year, 28 are in Brooklyn. Organizers say the events are a way for residents to meet their neighborhood police and build community ties.

Each year the event gets a little better, Mark Gelbs, president of the 84th Precinct Community Council, told the Brooklyn Eagle.

“We’ll be barbecuing, serving ice cream, ices and snacks from Starbucks,” he said. “There will be music all night.”

The Gowanus Wildcats will be demonstrating their precision drills, and elected officials, including Borough President Eric Adams, Councilmember Stephen Levin and representatives from the offices of Nydia Velázquez, Mayor Bill de Blasio, Comptroller Scott Stringer and Assemblymember Walter Mosley will swing by.

In Red Hook, Sunset Park and Prospect Park, kids can even get free pony rides, courtesy of Be Brooklyn Equine and Quadrozzi Urban Enterprises.

Coney Island’s Night Out includes a freak show; Marine Park’s event includes a car show and military showcase. Other venues feature clowns, boxing, basketball and more.
