A prominent Brooklyn pastor at the helm of a Bedford-Stuyvesant church has been charged with sexually abusing a female relative over the course of the last six years, Fox News reported.

According to reports, Matthew Gibson, who leads the Progressive Baptist Church of Brownsville at 295 Howard Ave., has been accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting young family member on the church’s grounds since 2012, after the child’s mother died.

The young girl’s older brother has had full custody of the girl and her twin brother since their mother died, and her every-other-weekend visits with Gibson were supposed to have been supervised by the church’s Bishop Ben Gibson, the accused’s father, Fox added.

The girl reportedly revealed to her sister-in-law the extent of the abuse last week.

Community members protested outside of the Howard Avenue church on Sunday.
