Judge Kevin McClanahan was this month’s guest speaker at the Kings County Housing Court Bar Association’s monthly meeting in Downtown Brooklyn on Thursday.

Judge McClanahan is a past honoree of the bar association. He spoke for about 30 minutes on Thursday and gave updates on two legal issues facing the Second Department — predicate notice vitiation and Rent Deposit under RPAPL 745 and common law use and occupation.

Jared Rich, a landlord and tenant law practitioner who is running for NYC Public Advocate, was also on hand at the meeting and gave a brief speech to members about his campaign.
