Police seek Bed-Stuy groper

Police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly grabbed a woman’s buttocks after she gave him money.

On Dec. 23, a 26-year-old woman was walking on Kingston Avenue near Herkimer Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant when a man approached her and asked for change.

After the she gave him change, the man followed her down the street trying to strike up a conversation. Police said the man grabbed the woman’s buttocks and then fled the location but was caught on video surveillance nearby.

The woman was not injured, police said.

The suspect is described as an African-American man, approximately 18 to 25-years-old, 5-foot 9 inches to 6-feet tall and 170 pounds with a dark complexion and a medium build. The man was last seen wearing a black knit hat, a blue jacket underneath a black coat, black sweatpants, white sneakers and a black backpack.
