Kyle Wilson discusses Brooklyn Cyclones debut
Kyle Wilson started his first game for the Brooklyn Cyclones on Wednesday night in what turned out to be a thrilling extra-inning game against the Hudson Valley Renegades at MCU Park in Coney Island.
This was Wilson’s first Class A short-season outing, after he plied his trade at the Rookie Level with the GCL Mets last season following his selection as the Mets’ 35th-round draft pick in 2017.
In his New York-Penn League debut, Wilson pitched the first 3 2/3 innings, surrendering four runs on six hits with a walk and six strikeouts while throwing 53 of his 81 pitches for strikes.
