Fire Blazes Through Dyker Heights Bedroom

An all-hands-on-deck fire ripped through the bedroom of a Dyker Heights home on Weds. Dec. 19, causing serious damage to the room and its roof, fire officials said.

Firefighters responded at 2:45 p.m. to the fire at 8818 Seventh Ave. The flames destroyed the contents of a closet, a small work area and the clothing in the bedroom.

Residents were evacuated safety before responders arrived.

No injuries were reported. The fire was not considered suspicious but was under investigation, officials added.
