Builders are now putting the finishing touches on 15 Bridge Park Drive, also known as The Landing, the shorter of two residential buildings at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park., and the rental process is expected to begin soon.

While 100 of the 140 units at The Landing are affordable units that will be filled by a lottery, the remaining 40 are market-rate units that start at $3,100 a month for a studio, according to the Brooklyn Paper.

The renting process for these higher-priced apartments is expected to start next month, representatives of the building’s broker, MNS, told the Brooklyn Paper.

The 15-story Landing and its 28-story neighbor, the Quay Building, were originally proposed by Brooklyn Bridge Park as a way of generating funds for park expenses.

Local groups tried to prevent their construction for several years, but in February a judge ruled that the towers could be built in the green space.
