A 48-year-old from Texas was charged this week in federal court for allegedly transporting a minor interstate to engage in illegal sexual activity and for producing child pornography. Allegedly, he drove a 15-year-old girl from Brooklyn to Texas to have sex with her after she sent him sexually explicit photos.

Billy Harmon Dunn, Jr., of Kosse, Texas, was arrested on Tuesday and appeared in federal court in Waco on Thursday to be formally charged. It is expected that the government will seek to extradite him to Brooklyn for the trial.

According to the criminal complaint, Dunn began contacting the 15-year-old through an adult website using the username “daddydrill1982” in August. He quickly began to ask her for nude photos of herself and planned to buy her a bus ticket so she could live with him in Texas.

On August 17, he asked her if she liked the idea of having sex on camera so that people could watch. He told her that they could record cam shows, according to the criminal complaint.

Prosecutors alleged that the 15-year-old girl had sent Dunn nude photos of herself on at least two occasions by Aug. 20.

Later, Dunn purchased a bus ticket for the girl, but after finding out that she needed a signature from her parents to ride alone, he began making plans to rent a car to drive to Brooklyn to pick her up, the complaint alleges.

After making plans to pick her up and drive back to Texas, the two allegedly continued to exchange photos and videos. “We will prolly f–k bout [sic] 400 times before we get home,” he allegedly told her. He picked her up outside of her house in Brooklyn on Sept. 6. Her mother called the NYPD to report her missing that same day, prosecutors said.

The NYPD and the Brooklyn DA’s Office immediately began an investigation and obtained information from the girl’s account on the adult website to find out that she was logging in from Camp Kosse RV Park in Kosse, Texas, prosecutors said.

On Sept. 14, the girl emailed her mother to tell her that she wanted to come home but could not. Eventually, members of the Limestone County Sheriff’s Department and the Kosse Police Department arrested Dunn outside of his trailer on Sept. 15.

When law enforcement searched the trailer, they found Dunn and the girl’s cell phones, which both contained nude photos of the girl, according to the criminal complaint.

Dunn faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years to life in prison if convicted on the charges of transporting a minor interstate to engage in illegal sexual activity. He faces a minimum of 15 to 30 years in prison on the child pornography charges.
