Despite cancellations last week of shows in Texas because she was feeling ill, comedian Amy Schumer is expected to appear on Wednesday night at the Kings Theatre on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn as expected.

The actress and comedian took to Instagram last Thursday to reveal she is in the hospital with hyperemesis gravidarum, or severe morning sickness and vomiting. She apologized to her fans for missing the shows in her post.

“Texas I am so deeply sorry. I have been really looking forward to these shows. I have to reschedule. I am in the hospital,” she wrote. “I have hyperemesis and it blows. Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bullshit!”

She added, “I’m fine. Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story. I’ve been even more ill this trimester.”

The Kings Theatre appearance is expected to be a sell-out crowd. Schumer returned to the tri-state over the weekend and did a show at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, followed by another in Pittsburgh.

Schumer was born and raised on the Upper East Side. Sen. Charles Schumer of Park Slope is her father’s cousin, making the comedian and the politician first cousins once removed.
