Luzzo’s on Atlantic Avenue shut down due to mice, roaches
Luzzo’s BK, the first Brooklyn restaurant in the Luzzo group of Italian restaurants and pizzerias, was shut down by health inspectors who found mice and roaches in the restaurant, according to city records.
The pizzeria at 145 Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn Heights was closed down on Nov. 1 after inspectors from the city Department of Health and Mental Hygiene found five serious sanitary violations, according to Carroll Gardens Patch.
The 85-seat restaurant, which serves southern Italian cuisine and Neapolitan-style pizza, opened in 2013. The Luzzo group also includes Ovest in West Chelsea, Da Mikele in Tribeca and the original Luzzo’s near Stuyvesant Town.
