Many city residents either don’t have the knack for pie-making or are afraid to try it, but one Industry City organization is changing that notion.
The Brooklyn Kitchen, at 274 36th St., Sunset Park, is offering pie workshops on Nov. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Nov. 18 from 4 to 6 p.m., according to The New York Times.
A pie-making class will be an asset for Thanksgiving, with its demand for apple, pecan and pumpkin pie, the Times said. (At one time, Thanksgiving was also a time for mince pie, but America’s appetite for that once-common delicacy has decreased steadily.)
