Peaches HotHouse, a well-known restaurant in Bed-Stuy, has opened a new branch at 87 South Elliott Place in Fort Greene. The space was formerly occupied by Smoke Joint, a restaurant that had the same owners.

The owners, Ben Grossman and Craig Samuel, have opened several restaurants in Brooklyn, including Peaches Shrimp and Crab in Clinton Hill, Peaches in Bed-Stuy and Peaches HotHouse, also in Bed-Stuy.

The new Fort Greene outlet will have some of the items as the Bed-Stuy original, including Nashville-style hot chicken, the HotHouse Burger and appetizers such as fried green tomatoes and barbecued shrimp, according to Brownstoner.

As for the Smoke Joint, a branch of it still survives in Livingston Manor, which the owners describe as their “favorite fishing town in the Catskills,” Brownstoner said.
