A limestone townhouse at 97 Rutland Road between Flatbush and Bedford avenues, just east of Prospect Park, is now the most expensive townhouse in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. It closed for $2.95 million in July, breaking the previous record of $2.86 million set in May for 63 Maple St., according to Curbed.

The Rutland Road townhouse most recently sold for $1.73 million in October 2017 and was recently renovated, Curbed reported. It still contains many of the home’s original details, such as wood paneling, mantles, parquet floors, bay windows and stained glass. However, it has many contemporary amenities as well, such as top-end appliances, marble countertops and a wall of custom cabinetry.

It features five bathrooms that include a ground-floor guest suite; three top-floor bedrooms that share a fully renovated bathroom, and a second-floor master bedroom whose walk-through closet leads to a “lavish master bathroom with a clawfoot tub, dual-head shower and heated towel rack,” Curbed said. At 4,000 square feet, the townhouse’s price per square feet is about $738.
