Kings County Supreme Court’s mental hygiene part hosts special programs with Columbia University professor
The Kings County Supreme Court’s Mental Hygiene Part held a special program on June 21 in the judges’ boardroom at the Civil Term where Dr. Philip R. Muskin held a question and answer session with judges, attorneys and other court staff.
Muskin is a professor of psychiatry at the Columbia University Medical College and a member of the Scientific Program Committee of the American Psychiatric Association.
During an hour-and-a-half-long session, Muskin took questions about psychiatry, diagnosis and psychopharmacology. He was also there to discuss hypothetical fact patterns with attorneys, but was clear to point out that lawyers were not allowed to ask about cases pending before the court.
