No, it’s not a fairy tale: Grimm Artisanal Ales, a local beer brand, opened a brewery and taproom in East Williamsburg recently. In the new brewery at 990 Metropolitan Ave., owners Lauren and Joe Grimm will serve more than 10 drafts; bottle-conditioned and oak-aged sour beers; and some local wine, cider and soda, according to Eater.

Food from the nearby Middle Eastern restaurant Samesa will also be served. About a third of the brewery will be dedicated to making sour beer. Every Saturday, a new type of beer will be featured. Eater describes the decor as “feminine,” with red velvet curtains, plants and incandescent bulbs.  Grimm’s hours vary by the day, but the taproom will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays and will be open for more hours on weekends than during the week.
