He’s Keith Hernandez!

Former Major League Baseball Most Valuable Player, five-time all-star, 11-time Gold Glove winner Keith Hernandez, who played for the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Mets, and won a World Series for each team including one in Flushing with the beloved 1986 team, is coming to Bay Ridge to promote his new memoir I’m Keith Hernandez: A Memoir.

Hernandez will be signing autographs of the new book at The BookMark Shoppe, 8415 Third Avenue, on Saturday, June 9 at 2 p.m. At least one copy of the book is required for entry and ticket purchase is for one copy. Only books purchased at the store will be signed.

The former first-baseman has also become an all-star in the booth as a commentator for the Mets on SportsNet New York (SNY), winning two New York Emmy’s.

In his book, Hernandez discusses his life from the Little League fields of Northern California to the dusty proving grounds of triple-A ball to the grand stages of Busch Stadium and beyond.
