A jailer was sniffed out with 2 ounces of marijuana in his pants by a detection dog on his way to work at the Brooklyn House of Detention on Atlantic Avenue on April 6.

Correction Officer Patrick Gaillard, 30, who resigned on April 11, claimed he found the weed on the street and was going to turn it in at work, according to the Daily News.

His story was foiled when a call was recorded between inmate Adam Franco, 23, and his girlfriend Samantha Pereira, 27, in which Franco told his girlfriend to pay Gaillard for the weed.

The smuggling operation began on April 4 when Pereira handed Gaillard a $1,150 cash payment and the drugs he was to deliver to her boyfriend, prosecutors said.

The Brooklyn Supreme Court arraigned Pereira and Gaillard on Wednesday and released them without bail. Franco will be arraigned next week, Carroll Gardens Patch reported.

All three were charged with promoting prison contraband and conspiracy. The couple faces bribery charges, and Gaillard faces charges of corrupting the government, receiving bribes and drug possession.
