The Kings County Democratic Party Committee honored three including Gregory T. Cerchione during its annual gala that was held at El Caribe in Mill Basin on Thursday, May 24.

Cerchione, a principal at Subin Associates, LLP, and an active member of various local bar associations, was honored alongside Helene E. Weinstein, chair of the NYS Assembly Ways and Means Committee; and Dr. Una S.T. Clarke, president of the Progressive Democrats Political Association of Central Brooklyn.

Cerchione is a past president of the Brooklyn Bar Association and he helps to run the Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn and the Catholic Lawyers Guild from behind-the-scenes.

The annual party attracts many prominent local and city politicians including Mayor Bill de Blasio, who often shows up to give a speech like he did this year.

According to Frank Seddio, the party committee’s chair, the event is designed to honor those who have helped the party shine and a way to bring various factions of the party closer together in a collegial setting.
