A rare car show was hosted in the heart of Brooklyn on Sunday. The Prospect Park event, dubbed CarPark Cars & Coffee, demonstrated how a public park can be an ideal location to display fine tuned cars. Ranging from a Maserati 300S, with a 3.0-liter engine that replicated that of the 1954 and 1958 Formula One driver’s championships, to a unique Porsche 968 drop top from the 1990s, the show attracted both bystanders and faithful car lovers.

Jared Auslander, a photographer from Jalopnik, was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cars displayed. “The show had a wider range of cars than I expected,” he said. It was a “pretty cool concept and location, but the foot traffic from park attendants made things a little challenging at times,” he continued. It was not your typical show as the people strolling in the park added a friendly vibe to the event and got to experience something new to their own neighborhood.
