A massive 21-story mixed-use project will rise within a block-long space in DUMBO that until recently served as a parking lot for the Watchtower, according to New York YIMBY.

The developers — a partnership between Kushner Companies, LIVWRK and CIM Group — purchased the fenced-off lot for $345 million in December 2016. The 210-foot structure would contain 732 apartments (with separate entrances for rental and condo units), commercial space and an unspecified community facility, for a total of 878,000 square feet. Amenities, according to New York YIMBY, will include two pools, a screening room, outdoor balconies, lounge and grilling spaces, terraces for some apartments and 727 parking spaces.

School-Based Clues Helped Owner Recover Stolen Dog

A video image showing a youngster with a book bag helped Williamsburg resident Kanika Ojha recover her Yorkie-corgi mix Oliver, according to PIX 11. While running errands on Wednesday, Ojha, a surgical nurse, made a brief stop at Plaza Optical Center, but when she went back outside the dog was gone. Surveillance cameras outside the store showed what appeared to be a child wearing a bookbag and his mother walking away with the dog. This led Ojha to nearby John D. Wells Junior High School, according to PIX11. After the school bell rang, she saw the young man and called police.  The youth cooperated with police, and Ojha was reunited with the canine.
