Myrdith Leon-McCormack, the Haitian-American publisher of World Bride magazine, is seeking to highlight Brooklyn as a wedding destination for brides and grooms. On April 13, Leon-McCormack and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams hosted a “Get Married in Brooklyn” fair at Borough Hall, according to Huffington Post.

“Brooklyn has fast become the new utopia for destination weddings within New York,” she told Huffington Post. “I believe that due to the gentrification of Brooklyn, it is creating a different vibe and style, opening options for couples planning their weddings.” She is also seeking to increase business for local wedding vendors.
