Fire injures one in Sunset Park building

A fire badly damaged a Sunset Park building on Thursday, April 26, injuring one.

According to the FDNY, the blaze started inside the third floor of the building at 39th Street and Fifth Avenue at around 8 a.m. It was reported under control by the FDNY’s Twitter account at around 9 a.m. One civilian sustained a non-life threatening injury.

The first floor of the building is occupied by Don Pepe Tortas & Jugos.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
