Police search for missing 75-year-old woman from Bensonhurst

Police are searching for a missing woman from the Bensonhurst area.

According to the NYPD, 75-year-old Erzsebet Berenyi was last seen on Thursday, March 29 at around 1 p.m. leaving her apartment on West Seventh Street between Bay Parkway and Avenue O.

Berenyi is described as a white female, 5’2″ and 200 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, black sweater and black sneakers, and possibly pushing a shopping cart. She also only speaks Hungarian.

Anyone with information in regards to the missing person is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
